This autumn has seen buzz created from two very different ends of the perfume industry, according to dooyoo.co.uk, the social price comparison and consumer review website where real people can review products and share their experiences online.

Analyses of fragrance trends for this fall showed that established favorites, such as Yves Rocher, Chanel, Gucci Pour Homme and Elizabeth Arden, are the most widely discussed among its consumers. Autumn 2011 also has been a big season for perfume newcomers and famous names, including Jo Malone and Marks & Spencer amongst others, each with positive feedback from online consumers, says dooyoo.co.uk.

Celebrity perfumes continue to spur a large portion of perfume discussion and consumption with fragrance stars such as Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and Rihanna. Newcomer Marks & Spencer, best known as a supermarket and clothes store, launched Adored in early September to much interest. The presence of non-specialist perfume brands is growing in size and stature – but not necessarily at the expense of designer names in the fragrance world, dooyoo.co.uk notes.
